In its third season, starting on February 17, 2017, the popular, Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary “Chef’s Table” finally features one of Peru’s most renowned culinary stars.
Virgilio Martínez Véliz, chef and owner of Central restaurant in Lima’s district Miraflores, one of the 50 best restaurants in the world, will share his vision of Peruvian cuisine with the world.
Peru’s famous chef is known for being passionate about investigating Peru’s biodiversity and ancient produce, and then integrating the little-known indigenous Peruvian ingredients from the country’s coastal region, the Andes and the Amazon rainforest into his fresh and contemporary dishes.
Martinez belongs to a new generation of Peruvian chefs that redefine the Peruvian cuisine making it known around the globe.
