Over the past 11 years the Ruraq Maki: Handmade Art & Crafts Fair developed into one of the most popular (sales) exhibitions of original handmade Peruvian handicrafts and craftsmanship in Lima.
The fair showcases handmade, indigenous and native handicrafts and artworks from 130 craftsmen from 22 different Peruvian regions.
Products sold include typical, but traditional handicrafts and artwork including basketry, carved wooden pieces, textiles, ceramics, silverware and indigenous decorations.
The Ruraq Maki: Hecho a Mano Fair allows local artists and craftsmen to preserve and promote their cultural heritage and traditional art and bring their original handmade works to a larger audience while at the same time generate some much-needed income.
