Lima’s image isn’t the best; it’s often described as dirty, loud and grey most of the year, almost sad and melancholic. But the Peruvian capital has countless faces and once in a while its beauty and colors have to be visualized to remind us of it.
The photo exhibition “Lima no es gris” (Lima isn’t grey) aims at doing exactly this.
The Peru Street Photography Collective together with some invited photographers in collaboration with the muralists and urban artists from Brochagorda show Lima and the daily life of its inhabitants from a different viewpoint.
With their urban photographs, they portray a happy Lima, a vibrant and diverse city, a metropolis full of color and life showing that “Lima no es gris”.
