The carnival in Ayacucho is one of the most authentic and traditional in Peru and was even declared National Cultural Patrimony.
This year’s main celebration start as well on the 25th of February and end on March 1st. Sunday and Monday are the two main days of the celebrations with a big parades full of decorated carts, dancers, musicians, costumes and masks.
